Eyes Off Massachusetts

Understanding AI Mass Surveillance & Flock Cameras in Massachusetts

AI mass surveillance is spreading like wildfire. Join us to resist.

Massachusetts has over 359 surveillance cameras that track the movements of vehicles and people and share the data with an unknown number of law enforcement agencies across the country. Whether you are into constitutional textualism or cutting-edge modern digital privacy, we all have something to gain by forbidding this technology.

Eyes Off Massachusetts is a non-partisan grassroots coalition that brings the hidden impacts of this surveillance technology into the open, right here in our communities.

What are ALPRs?

Flock Automated License Plate Readers

Flock runs a network of Automated License Plate Readers (ALPRs) that can identify and record vehicles, bicycles, people, and pets. These cameras are marketed as crime-fighting tools, but in practice, any agency with access to the system can search the nationwide network with no warrant, no oversight required.
